- 1 cup fruit juice (like tart cherry, pomegranate, or orange โ preferably organic)
- 2 tbsp grass-fed collagen peptides (like Vital Proteins or Great Lakes)
- 2 tbsp grass-fed gelatin (not collagen peptides โ gelatin helps it set)
- 1โ2 tbsp raw honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (for flavor + vitamin C boost)
- Silicone molds or a glass dish
Instructions:
- Warm the juice:
- Pour the juice into a small saucepan and warm over low heat (do not boil, just warm enough to dissolve powders).
- Add collagen + gelatin:
- Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the juice. Let it โbloomโ for 1 minute (it will absorb liquid and swell up).
- Gently stir until fully dissolved.
- Add the collagen peptides and stir again until smooth.
- Sweeten + add extras:
- Stir in the honey or maple syrup, and lemon juice. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour into molds:
- Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow glass container.
- Chill to set:
- Refrigerate for about 1โ2 hours until firm.
- Pop out & store:
- Remove from molds or slice into squares.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
